Blog War - Food

Hi Everyone,

Last week the Blog War challenge was Food. 

And here is the scrapbook layout I created (It takes me a while to create my scrapbook layouts - hence why last week's blog war project is finished on Day 2 of the new blog war week!):

It is a layout created using a "cupcake" theme to scrapbook my daughter's 7th birthday (which she celebrated earlier this year). 

I have used Lilac Bazill Basic Card for the base pages which I stamped with the Cupcake Large Stamp using Watermark Ink to create a watermark effect; My Girl Cupcakes SB Paper; chipboard letters painted with Smooch and then glossy accented, and hand made glitter shapes. Kaszazz New Products

Hi Everyone,

A big thank you to my lovely customers for attending my Kaszazz Come and Play Day yesterday.  We all got to play with some of the new products from the September new release.

Below are the tags we created.

They are created using the new design adhesives and glitter.  The chipboard shapes at the top of the tags have been embossed using the new Tim Holtz's Distress Embossing Powders and/or painted using our new Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink.

We also had fun stamping and chalking with the new range of stamps released.

Friday's Workshop

Hi Everyone,

On Friday I ran a workshop for some new customers. 

The workshop I ran was Beyond the Page 2H183 - Ebony & Ivory Adore Frame created by Rachel Shillito.  A picture of the frame is below.

It is created using the Ebony and Ivory Scrapbooking paper range.

However, Kaszazz has such a wonderful range of Scrapbooking Papers. And so my customers at the workshop decided to use different paper ranges.  Below are their creations.

Both Larissa and Jane used the Gelati range of Scrapbooking Papers.

And Lucretia used the Castaway range.

Aren't they just wonderful!!  That is what I love most about running workshops. Everyone has such different creative ideas. It is just so inspiring.

Well done Larissa, Jane and Lucretia.  I look forward to being inspired by you all again we can catch up next time.

Blog War - Distress Inks

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to a new week of the Blog War.  This week the theme/product is Distress Inks.

The project I have created today is an ATC using Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls. I saw this technique demonstrated on Tim Holtz's website.

The background of the ATC I created by using a few drops of Distress Ink (taken from the refill bottles) which I placed into our Mini-Misters which were 3/4 filled with water. I then added a small amount of perfect pearls.  Shake well and you are ready to spritz! 

Here I have used Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink mixed with Forever Red perfect pearls; Broken China Distress Ink mixed with Forever Blue perfect Pearls, and Peeled Paint Distress Ink mixed with Forever Green perfect pearls. I then spritzed each onto the card, starting with the darkest colour first (broken china).

Distress Inks work so well with water - they blend together to create such a great effect.  I love it!!

Stamped onto the ATC is our lovely new Fancy Flourish Stamp. I have stamped this using Peeled Paint Distress ink, and then I have brushed over the top of the image with Forever Red Perfect Pearls. I think this tecnique looks stunning.

P.S. I ran an ATC workshop at our recent "Creative Getaway" using these techniques, which I am going to submit to Kaszazz as a 2 hour workshop.  I just need to spend some time writing up the instructions (it is on my to-do list!!).  Once I have submitted the workshop to Kaszazz, I will upload the photographs of the ATCs for you all to have a look at.

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

I just want to wish all the Dad's out there a very Happy Father's Day. I hope you all enjoyed the day and got spoiled by your love ones.

My DH (darling husband) received breakfast in bed and lots of gifts from me and our DD (darling daughter) and DS (darling son).  We also went out for lunch with Opa (DH father) and then visited Nonno (my dad).  All in all it was a very busy, yet lovely day.

Below are the cards I created for my husband and Opa.

 
As you can see I created the card on the right using the ATC I created earlier in the week for the Blog War.  This card I gave to my DH.  The card on the left is one I created using the same techniques as for the ATC, but this time on a Tag.  Attached copper eyelets and some ribbon to give it a finishing touch.

The card I created for my dad (Nonno) I was lucky enough to create yesterday at my fellow team member Naomi Elliott's studio opening.  Below is the Father's Day Card and a Christmas Card.  Both Naomi designed.

Blog War - ATC Father's Day 2

Hi Everyone,

Below is another creation for this week's blog war.  Here I have used Scrapbooking Paper - All Boy.  I wanted to create an ATC with only Scrapbooking Papers.  I have backed the paper onto Royal Blue A5 Cardstock.

And to show you how to convert your ATCs into cards, below is the card I created using a similar ATC.

I simply added more Scrapbooking Paper and Ribbon onto Black A5 Card Stock (folded into a Portrait card). Simple!

Blog War - ATC Father's Day

Hi Everyone,

Below are my first creations for this weeks Blog War - ATC Father's Day.

These 2 ATCs I created using Ebony and Ivory Papers.  I think this paper range is gorgeous and is especially suitable for male cards / scrapbook pages.  In fact, I have used these papers to create my husband's father's day gift, which I will post an image of next week (just in case he checks my blog - I don't want to ruin the surprise for him).

The other items I have used are Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Wood Spice A5 Card stock.  I will convert these into Father's Day cards and post the images of those too for you.  That is what I love most about ATCs...they can easily be converted into cards.

Blog Wars

Hi Everyone,

I have joined a group called "Kaszazz Blog Wars". 

So what is it all about?  Well, as quoted from the group organisers Jo and Kris:

"Welcome to the blog wars; a place for challenges, creations and inspiration. The idea of this group is to promote Kaszazz products and showcase our talents as well as supporting and inspiring each other and our blog visitors!"

So prepared to be inspired!!  The weekly challenges run for 5 days and each week they will showcase a certain Kaszazz Product or theme.  This week the theme is Male ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) in line with upcoming Father's Day.

So it is off to my craft room now to create something inspiring.

Workshops with Bella Papers

Hi Everyone,

I have completed a couple of the Kaszazz Workshops featuring the Bella papers and Silhouette Stamps.

Below are the cards from the 2H208 Silhouette Kissing Cards Workshop.

This workshop teaches you an old stamping technique called "kissing".  It is a very simple technique to learn, and creates an awesome effect.  These are just beautiful cards, aren't they?

And I also completed Workshop 2H195 Bella Friendship Mini-Album.

This is a beautiful little book that you can fill with photographs of your family and friends.
